New Music Mixer lineup for February 1st (Ep 16)

I’m really excited about this week’s New Music Mixer because I have so much amazing new Trop Rock and Island Music to play for you. We’ve got brand new Trop Rock from Midnight Kahuna, Randy Moore, Mike McEnery and The Jumbo Shrimp Band and Jesse Rice. We’ve got reggae vibes from Remember September, Roots Palmera, Headshine and Louis Atlas. I’ve got new music from Hawaii from Kale and Matagi plus a whole lot more.

Greg Dillard has just released a great new CD called, “A Better Life.” Once again he blends a variety of musical influences to deliver a CD of well crafted songs that will have you listening over and over again.

This weekend we will feature songs from this new CD, as well as tracks from his first CD, “Trapped In Paradise Again.” Listen for songs from Greg every hour through Sunday.

Our Featured Artist Frenzy continues today with music from Marty Nickel, a singer songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia who has been active on the local music scene for the past ten years. With influences from Jimmy Buffett to Bob Marley his style is a mix of acoustic americana, folk and tropical music. Having won honorable mention in “American Songwriter’ magazine for his writing abilities. From ballads to beach music his songs are an eclectic mix of music. He plans to release a follow up to last year’s CD, Beach Colors, this summer.

NEW MUSIC MONDAY: Jeff and the Camaros

We are adding the music of Jeff and the Camaros to The TikiPod and we are featuring them all day for New Music Monday. This band hails from Panama City and plays all along the Gulf Coast. This past weekend, they played Pardi-Gras in New Orleans and are playing a variety of festivals this spring including Music on the Bay in Tampa on March 5, the Parrot Head Rendezvous in Panama City in April, and the Phlocking of the Phaithful in Put In Bay Ohio in June.
